Camo
Biella, Italy
Camo was founded in 2007 by Stefano Ughetti in Biella, the small northern town that also happens to be the Italian epicenter of fabric manufacturing. Before the label, Ughetti ran a Biella menswear concept store called Superstar, and that insider's eye shows in everything he makes. The name is short for camouflage, but there's nothing military about it. The idea is the opposite of hiding. Camo is about clothing that works in sync with the person wearing it, quietly letting them stand out.
Everything is made in Italy from the thread up. Ughetti keeps it hyper-local, leaning on the mills and small family-run workshops around Biella to develop his own fabrics, which is how you get that mix of clean, informal lines, fine materials, and the occasional technical twist. Modern Italian elegance without the stiffness.
Here's where it gets good for us. Going forward, Camo at Cueva means Cueva exclusives only. Every piece is still made in Italy and still carries Ughetti's hand, but now it's developed with us and finished with the Cueva tag. Italian craft, filtered through a New York lens. If you're seeing Camo here, it was made for here.
