Peter Wu was born in Los Angeles, raised in Taipei, and a graduate of Central Saint Martins in London (with a stint studying applied arts at Brown along the way), Peter cut his teeth in Paris, working for Lanvin and Lemaire before founding his namesake brand in 2017. That lineage shows. There's a quiet, French sophistication running through everything, the discipline of the couture house translated into clothes you'd actually want to live in.
Luxury craftsmanship expressed through fluid tailoring, stripped of all excess, is how the brand puts it, and that holds true across the collection. American workwear and collegiate staples like racer jackets, carpenter pants, and campus chinos sit alongside genuinely refined tailoring, all in washed, muted tones that feel lived-in from day one.
It's a truly global effort, too. The team works across Paris, Taipei, and Montreal, with collaborators who feel like family from Belgium, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan. And the make backs up the ideas, with everything produced in family-owned ateliers in France, Italy, and Outer Mongolia. Considered, worldly, and quietly luxurious, the work of a designer who clearly learned his craft at the highest level.
