Sunflower was founded in Copenhagen in 2018 by Ulrik Pedersen, the founder of NN07, and Alan Blond, a longtime figure behind some of Scandinavia’s leading menswear brands. Having helped shape the region’s menswear landscape, they set out to build something slower: a label that ignores the trend cycle and focuses on clothes made to stay in a man’s wardrobe for years.
The foundation is traditional tailoring, reworked with a modern, relaxed hand. Jackets and trousers start from classic patterns but drape with an easy line, and shirts are cut to work buttoned up or worn open. Where a lot of Scandinavian menswear leans austere and minimal, Sunflower brings in more color, pattern and texture, setting bold knits and rich fabrics inside silhouettes that still feel familiar and grown up. The result fits in and stands out at the same time.
