Barena Venezia is a small, family-owned company that was founded in 1993 in Northern Italy. Before “sprezzatura” and “soft tailoring” became go-to terms for fashion editors, Barena was utilizing sartorial fabrics for their sportswear and workwear inspired collections. Their fabrics are primarily sourced from Italy and England and they manufacture most of their products in Italy. Their unique collections are designed using a fabric first method where they design the season's products based off of the fabrics they source before the design process even starts. Their balanced line of contemporary and classic Italian clothing has gained them a strong international following.
